Agreements have been signed on a student exchange programme between the HSE and Finland’s Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT). The documents also call for the creation of dual-degree master’s programmes between the two universities.

This year the HSE’s Faculty of Pre-University Training will offer for the first time a programme to prepare foreign students to study in Russian at the Higher School of Economics. Although aimed primarily at those wishing to enroll in undergraduate programmes, it is also available to those wishing to study at the Master’s level.
This summer Lin Yang, a master’s student at ICEF, won one of the prizes in the creative contest ‘How I decided to come study at the HSE’ for his work ‘The Journey of my HSE Life’. HSE News Service has taken the opportunity to talk to Lin about his experience studying and living in Moscow.

Joint classes will begin in February 2015 for first-year master’s students in the State and Local Administration programme at HSE’s St. Petersburg campus and students in the Urban Studies and Planning master’s programme at the University of Maryland (U.S.). Classes will be held in the format of video conferences and take place once a week over the course of three semesters.
In the new academic year, HSE’s Master’s Programme in Applied Cultural Studies is offering three new courses developed together with the Polytechnic Museum, Reinwardt Academie (Amsterdam, Netherlands), and the University of Leicester's School of Museum Studies (Leicester, Great Britain). The courses are called ‘Museology,’ ‘Museums in the Digital Age,’ and ‘Curating in the Modern Museum’.
