On Saturday, December 3, HSE participated for the first time in the Career and University Fair at Lycée Français Alexandre Dumas de Moscow.

In 2017, the HSE Vysokovsky Graduate School of Urbanism is debuting its English-language master’s programme Prototyping Future Cities. The programme is based on the idea of learning by doing, and it is open to students from all over the world. In an interview with the HSE News Service, Vicente Guallart, who is the Academic Supervisor of the Laboratory for Experimental Urban Design, former Chief Architect of Barcelona City Council, and head of the programme, discusses exactly how it will work.

This year HSE has launched a new English-taught MA programme ‘Linguistic Theory and Language Description’, which has evolved from a specialization on the Computer Linguistics programme. Michael Daniel, one of the programme’s Academic Supervisors, told the HSE news service about the multilingual people who will study here, the expeditions the students will go on, and other features of the programme.

In the Faculty of Humanities’ new master’s programme, Cultural and Intellectual History: Between East and West, students will study the history, culture, and traditions of Eastern and Western Europe from the Middle Ages to now. The programme, which begins accepting applications in 2017, also offers students the opportunity to receive a diploma from a partner university abroad.

On November 13, 2016, the Master’s Programme in Financial Economics will hold an Open House. Maksim Nikitin, Academic Supervisor of the programme, spoke to the HSE News Service about who contemporary financial experts are and where ICEF Master’s graduates find jobs today.

In late October 2016, an HSE delegation visited Mongolia to hold HSE Days in Ulaanbaatar.

On November 1, applications opened for 2017 admissions to undergraduate and graduate programmes at HSE. This year, a new online application system has been introduced to simplify the procedure for international applicants.

We are delighted to announce Olympiad competitions for prospective international undergraduate students this fall. Olympiads are open to current secondary school students and secondary school graduates who are under the age of 30.
