Olympiad Competitions for Prospective Students

We are delighted to announce Olympiad competitions for prospective international undergraduate students this fall. Olympiads are open to current secondary school students and secondary school graduates who are under the age of 30.

Olympiads are held in different subjects: Design, English Language, History, Journalism, Mathematics, Media Communications, Psychology, Russian Language, and Social Sciences. The competitions are generally held in Russian (two levels, one for native and one for non-native speakers), but international students may submit their entries in English. The mathematics competition will be held only in English. Competition winners and awardees will be exempt from taking entrance exams to HSE bachelor’s programmes for the coming year. 

Olympiads will be held throughout Europe and Asia (a full list is available below). To register to participate in an Olympiad, please fill out this online form. The deadline for registration is November 27. The schedule for Olympiads in Moscow is:

·         Wednesday, October 26: Social Sciences, Media Communications

·         Thursday, October 27: English, History

·         Friday, October 28: Russian, Psychology

·         Saturday, October 29: Mathematics, Journalism
