Kamola Talipova from Tashkent has been living in Russia for the past five years. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at HSE University – St. Petersburg and is now pursuing a Master’s degree at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs at the HSE Moscow campus. Having partner companies is an important factor in the competitiveness of any Master’s programme. One of the partners of the programme ‘Germanica: History and Modernity’, which launched last year at the Faculty of Humanities, is the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce. Already in their first year of study, several students have been hired by the Chamber as interns.

Monica Spychala (USA) is a double-degree Master's student at Technische Universität Berlin and HSE University’s Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK), where she studies Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation. Monica spoke with HSE News Service about why she chose HSE, what it is like to study remotely in the Governance of STI programme, and how she is already putting her knowledge into practice.

Though born in Ukraine, Roksana Ramirez has lived all her life in Bolivia. A native Spanish speaker, Roksana came to Russia with no knowledge of Russian. She is currently studying at the Graduate School of Business in a Russian-taught Master’s programme in HR Analytics. In an interview with HSE News Service, Roksana describes how HSE’s Prep Year programme helped her become proficient in Russian and how she is now mentoring current prep year students to help them adjust to university life.

The recently launched Master's Programme in Medieval Studies is the only Master’s degree in Russia fully dedicated to medieval studies. HSE News Service spoke with Juan Sota, a second-year student of the programme, about its unique features, interacting with professors, and his research interests and aspirations.
