International students looking to study at HSE might find the idea of moving to Moscow exciting yet daunting, especially if they have never visited or lived in Russia before. We have prepared a short guide on what some aspects of life in Moscow are like.

On September 13, we celebrated yet another HSE Day, our annual start-of-the-academic-year festival, which is followed the year’s tough road of studies. Let’s look at some pictures from the events at Gorky Park and relive its best moments!

On June 4, 2017, HSE is holding ‘The Whole World at HSE’ festival, dedicated to the cultures of different peoples. It’s a great opportunity for many international students to share information about their country’s culture and explain how Russian culture might be perceived by people with a different mentality. HSE international students and faculty have shared their views on both their and our respective cultures.

Elena Koleva was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, and studies psychology at HSE. She not only masters the depths of psychology, but also actively participates in the HSE Extreme Sports Club. Elena says this club and its activities were one of the decisive factors in her choosing to study at HSE.

On December 25th, 2015, the HSE Academic Council summed up the results of the university’s teaching and learning activities over the past year. Here are some facts and figures from Vice Rector Sergey Roshchin’s presentation.

Hamid Ait El Ceid moved to Moscow from Morocco a year ago to study in English-taught Master’s programme Political Analysis and Public Policy. Since arriving, he has learned about what it’s like to build the bridges between two completely different cultures.

Originally from Morocco, Hamid Ait El Caid is currently pursuing a Master's in Political Analysis and Public Policy.

The Higher School of Economics has created an official Facebook page in English for foreign student applicants and teachers who are considering work or study in Russia.
