International Conference on Cross-cultural Communication Strategies in the Modern World: Culture, Education, and Policy

We are glad to invite you to participate in the International Conference on Cross-cultural Communication Strategies in the Modern World: Culture, Education, and Policy which will take place on November 23-24, 2017 in Moscow. The conference is organized by the Department of Foreign Languages with the National Research University "Higher School of Economics".
The conference is designed to bring together scholars from various parts of Russia and from abroad to discuss topical issues in Linguistics, Teaching Foreign Languages, Cross-cultural Communication and Language Policy.
The call for papers welcomes original research related to the English, French, German, Spanish and other languages.

  8. ICT in Teaching Foreign Languages
  9. Competence-oriented Approach and Testing in Teaching Foreign Languages
The program includes plenary sessions, parallel sections and round tables.
Conference languages are Russian and English.
Presentations are limited to 15 minutes.
Presentation proposals are accepted via conference webpage by October 20, 2017.
Proposals should contain the first and last names of the presenter (patronymic, if applicable), affiliation, position, the telephone number and the email address. The paper title and the abstract (up to 500 characters) are given in Russian and English. You should also choose the section for which you submit your research.
The proposer also submits the paper summary (up to 3,500 characters) in the language of the paper. The paper summary must be submitted as doc or pdf. The title should be formatted in the following way: Ivanov I.I._summary.
The submissions will be reviewed along the following criteria: topicality, the purpose, tasks, research methodology, findings and conclusions.
 
BA and MA Students submit their papers to the section "Young Researcher".

All conference participants will have to pay the conference fees on the conference webpage. Conference/Registration fees are 1,500 rubles for speakers, 500 rubles for non-presenting participants and 500 rubles for MA and PhD Students. The registration fee covers conference pack and coffee breaks. All conference-related expenses are to be covered by the participant.
