Exam Procedures for Undergraduate Applicants

Two exam sessions will be held for prospective fee-paying students who are seeking to enroll in English-taught undergraduate programmes. The sessions will be held in Moscow during the following dates (choose one of the sessions):

First session: from July 4 until July 27. 

Second session: from August 10 until August 19

All exams will take place at main HSE Moscow campus: Moscow, Ulitsa Myasnitskaya, 11.

The exams are all structured in a multiple choice format (with the exception of Mathematics). Information on how to prepare for the tests and their respective syllabuses are provided in Russian. Additionally, to help you prepare, sample tests which are in English can be found here:

If you are unfamiliar with the location of the exam, turn up well ahead of time and contact the International Admissions office, who will be glad to assist you. They can be contacted at +7 495 772-95-90*15360, 15361 or found at 11 Myasnitskaya str.,3d floor, rooms 319 and 319A, right behind Starbucks and KFC on Myasnitskaya Street.

International Undergraduate Applicants to HSE – Saint Petersburg will be able to take online tests between July 13 and August 10, 2017. Online test sessions are run every week. Invitations are sent to applicant’s email so far as groups are formed.

You must turn up at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time with the following:

- Identity document (with a photo)

- Pens (blue or black ink)

Please note that during the exams you are not allowed to use or have on you: notes, dictionaries, calculators or any other electronic devices (including, but not limited to; handheld computers, mobile phones and other means of communication). Any communication between exam candidates is strictly forbidden.

Draft paper will be provided and will not be assessed by the examiners: it must however be surrendered to the organizers.

N.B. Drinking water and/or chocolate bars are permitted.
