New Video Showcases HSE University’s Bright Academic and Student Community
The HSE University community is multinational and multicultural, representing over 90 countries on its four campuses. University faculty, researchers, students, and alumni are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of education. HSE University is an international university that ranks among the top 100 institutions worldwide in subjects such as Politics & International Studies, Sociology, and Economics & Econometrics in the QS World University Rankings by Subject. Working or studying at HSE gives faculty members and students alike the opportunity to experience Russia at its best.
HSE offers 8 bachelor’s programmes and 40 master’s programmes that are taught entirely in English, in addition to an online English-taught degree programme in Data Science. International English-speaking students therefore easily become part of the HSE community.
The video, created by the Office of Public Relations and the International Student Recruitment Centre, features HSE University international students and its various faculties and provides a brief introduction to Moscow. Shots of various metro stations, Gorky Park, and new art places all serve to convey the essence of everyday Moscow city life.
The video was shot at HSE’s Moscow campus at Pokrovka (Pokrovsky Boulevard), one of the most modern and beautiful university complexes in Russia, where three colossal atriums unite various historic buildings into one single space.
While shooting the video, the Office of Public Relations team visited the Faculty of Computer Science, the Faculty of Physics, the HSE Art Gallery (part of the Faculty of Communications, Media, and Design), the Vysokovsky Graduate School of Urbanism at the Faculty of Urban and Regional Development, the Faculty of Chemistry, and the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology.
Parts of the video were also shot at the HSE Business Incubator, so viewers of the video may notice that HSE University was awarded the UBI Global Award. The award recognizes top university business accelerators, and, in 2019-2020, the HSE Business Incubator took 1st place as the Best University Business Accelerator in the World in the UBI Global World Ranking of University-Linked Business Accelerators.
International Student Recruitment Centre team member attracted about 30 current HSE students to participate in this video project. Later the students were happy to see themselves in the brand new HSE video.
