International Applications Open for HSE Doctoral Programmes with Funding

HSE is now accepting applications from international candidates who seek to enter doctoral programs fully funded by Russian government quota grants.

Seventeen fields of studies in 13 doctoral schools across HSE’s campuses in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Nizhny Novgorod are open to international applicants. More than 700 students currently study in HSE’s doctoral programmes, which provide extensive research opportunities for degree candidates. Joint PhD and coutelle programmes are available for outstanding students.

To apply, international candidates must submit an online application by May 31. Applications will be reviewed in June and candidates will receive an official decision by the admissions committee on July 1. Candidates must then submit a required set of documents by August 1. Studies officially begin November 1.

HSE’s doctoral schools include: Computer Science, Economics, Education, History. Law, Management, Mathematics, Philology, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Social Sciences, Technical Sciences.
